Former Prime Minister of Canada, Brian Mulroney, has passed away at the age of 84. Born into a working-class family in Baie Como, Sansqu'o, Mulroney's early career unfolded as a university student studying political science. His involvement in politics commenced as an advisor to Prime Minister John Diefenbaker. Mulroney's journey in politics was marked by resilience and determination, despite facing setbacks along the way. He earned a law degree and eventually ascended to become the federal Progressive Conservative leader in 1976. Although he later stepped down from the Conservatives after a defeat against Joey Clerk, Mulroney remained undeterred in his pursuits.

Transitioning to Corporate Canada, Mulroney continued to exert influence behind the scenes, eventually orchestrating a successful campaign to assume leadership of the Conservative Party in 1983. Pledging to usher in a new era for the party and the nation, Mulroney won the 1984 federal campaign by securing the largest majority of seats in Canadian history. His tenure as the 18th Prime Minister of Canada was characterized by promises of job creation and economic progress. Mulroney's passing marks the end of an era in Canadian politics, leaving behind a legacy shaped by his determination and commitment to public service.
